Style and Flavor Profile

An estate grown wine, our Pinot Gris (pea noh gree) is bright and crisp with

aromas of light citrus and peach, flavors of citrus and melon.  Our climate

is similar to ones in northern France and Germany; this wine is made similar

to Alsatian style wines.

The first wine bottled at Jones is a blend of Cayuga White, Vidal and Seyval Blanc. This off-dry wine is both crisp and slightly sweet on the finish. Its flavor profile is similar to a Riesling and other off dry white wines.

Style and Flavor Profile

This dry Rosé is floral on the nose with notes of violets and rose petals, very delicate. On the palate, this wine is full of red plums, cherries, and dried herbs. Crushed Cabernet Franc grapes spend five hours on the skins. This contributes to the lovely color and subtle flavors of spice. After the skin contact, the juice is extracted by pressing the crushed grapes. That juice is then cold fermented.

A light to medium bodied red wine. Delicately displaying raspberry, vanilla, toasted oak, and violet notes, later complimented by intriguing depth and structure.  It can be served slightly chilled.

What really distinguishes this wine, is that the fruit is grown in an exceptionally cool climate at Lahoma Vineyards, located on the southwest side of Seneca Lake in Upstate NY.  This is the perfect summertime red wine!

Style and Flavor Profile

Early on in the fermentation process our own grape brandy is added. This halts fermentation, preserves the sweetness and increases alcohol content to 18%. The addition of brandy is what makes this a fortified wine.
