Pumpkin Season Update

Open Halloween, one last day, from 10am - 4pm!!  Hayrides, corn maze, pumpkins, and squash.

We are open daily from 10-5:30 at Pumpkinseed Hill. Hayrides daily (weather permitting) and over 50 varieties of Jones Grown pumpkins, squash and gourds to choose from. Call Farmer Jones (203-929-8425) for updates. TIP: Bring a wagon and/or stroller for choosing your pumpkins and for the kiddies. Plan Your Visit

As October rolls on we have all of our over 50 varieties of pumpkins and squash on display. We also have decorative items such as corn stalks, hay bales, mums, decorative corn and more. Of course we have our daily hayrides (weather permitting) and the corn maze is open on weekends.

This year we are showcasing Frank Baum’s wonderful stories of Oz. Celebrating the beloved characters from Baum’s imagination you’ll be able to find Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodsman, the Cowardly Lion, a few witches, some flying monkeys, a horse of a different color and Toto too!

You’ll follow the yellow brick road to our hayrides, follow Dorothy’s path to meet the wizard through our corn maze and enjoy some time at the Emerald City.

Hayrides are every day (weather permitting, call Farmer Jones for daily updates). Corn Maze is only open during the weekend (weather permitting).

We remind our visitors and friends that harvesting farm products can be a physically demanding activity. Please come suitably attired, especially with appropriate footgear that has good support, coverage, and treads (boots, sneakers, closed toe, low heel shoes) as well as a jacket, since Pumpkinseed Hill can get quite windy at times.

Bringing a wagon or stroller for your harvest and/or young children is a great idea. We have limited amounts of pumpkin carts and they are not appropriate for transporting children.

Please remember to leave your pet at home during pumpkin season. We practice Good Agricultural Practices, and since pumpkins and squashes are food crops, pets are not allowed in the farmyard. Thank you for your cooperation.

See you soon!
