Jean Crum Jones
Jean Crum Jones started the Harvest Kitchen as a way to pursue her passionate interest in teaching others about food, nutrition, and agriculture. Jean gradually learned the ways of sustainable farming and traditional New England cooking after marrying Farmer Terry Jones (5th generation farmer) and moving to the farm in 1969. Professionally, Jean has worked as a Registered Dietitian and Community Nutritionist, serving as an administrative dietitian with Yale Dining Services, as a clinical dietitian in New Haven health centers, and as an adjunct associate professor at various colleges in Connecticut.
Farm Chef Sherry Swanson
Farm Chef Sherry Swanson uses her love of cooking and good food to create innovative menus based on the freshest and finest quality ingredients available. Classically trained in French and Italian cooking techniques, Sherry is also a certified sommelier.
Farmer Emily Freund
Farmer Emily Freund grew up on a sustainable dairy farm in Connecticut and loves preparing delicious farm foods. She leads the Jones Farm’s education programs for children and adults and manages the Harvest Kitchen Bakery and Pantry.
Wine Educator Jon Haight
Wine Educator Jon Haight is passionate about wine and uses his extensive wine knowledge to teach our popular Sip & Savor classes. He can be found behind the Jones Winery tasting bar, too.
